Our team will head to Burma on June 29th. Our goals are five-fold:
1. To provide financial resources for our partners.
2. To teach health education courses to whomever are able to gather -(thanks to Shannon, my wife and more than capable public health RN)
3. To take/purchase water purification units.
4. To provide encouragement to our partners.
5. To teach and share a new method for church planting with our partners.
Right now we are waiting for visa approval. Because our work in Burma is ongoing, we decided not to declare ourselves as an NGO or Disaster agency. We will continue to operate covertly, which includes on this trip. It may mean that our travel is restricted and that we won’t be allowed in the refugee areas, but we could not jeopardize the future of our work even in the face of the current situation.
So, pray for visa approval.
Also begin praying now (if you please) that we will be of little interest to whatever customs official is on duty in the evening of July 1st.
